Eyeletting

An eyelet is, generally speaking, a small hole that is placed near the edge of a piece of fabric and is often lined with metal to ensure that it maintains its structure and integrity.

Eyelets are fairly common in fabrics and are used for a wide variety of purposes. In some cases they are purely decorative and are used to give a fabric a unique and interesting look. However in many other cases they are much more practical and are used on things like shower curtains to allow them to be hung from hooks or easily manoeuvred along a rail. Some contempoary style curtains also use larger eyelets to achieve a modern look along with the practical ease of use with a rail.

We are able to place brass and nicklel eyelets in almost any material, though we generally focus our use on canvas and PVC-based materials that would be most suited for them. We can ensure eyelets are expertly placed and are fitted exactly to your measurements.

Whether it is an individual project that a customer need a little bit of help with or mass eyeleting across a large bulk of material, Textile Service is more than happy to help with your requirements.

Examples items that use eyeleting include:

  • Shower curtains
